“[Evan] mines and embraces the rich history of soul, blues and Americana while at the same time making it decidedly her own.” — SoulTracks.com

Evan Nicole Bell is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who uses her smoky, soulful, four-octave vocal range to breathe fresh life into each song she sings. Evan’s interpretations of beloved blues standards and funk classics have garnered her millions of views across social media.

Evan’s passion for music began with studying piano, fingerstyle acoustic, and classical guitar in her adolescence. However, it was in 2018, when her mother gifted her an electric guitar, that her passion for music and songwriting skyrocketed and her love for the blues was born. Armed with her trusty new Les Paul (named Stormy), Evan immersed herself in the study of music theory, voice, guitar, and blues history—eventually leaving her job as an educator to pursue music full time.

Evan is an artist with a two-pronged vision for both sustaining the timeless blues repertoire and forging her own path forward with her unique, genre-crossing sound. With her original music combining elements of pop, rock, funk, and soul, her sonic inspirations span decades. In addition to the guitar, Evan plays the electric bass, djembe, melodica, and continues to develop her skills on the piano.

Evan is an award-winning documentary photographer and has shown two solo exhibitions of her work. She has a B.A. from Duke University and a graduate certificate from the University of California, Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy.
